Base Camp Alpha
Further Education
There is no better way to cement the skills learned in our "Intro to Adventure" or "Next Step" classes than to embark on an authentic two-day adventure immediately after your class wraps up. Just imagine a 400 mile motorcycle adventure through the heart of the world-famous Mojave Desert. This area is full of historic ghost towns, abandoned gold mines and awe inspiring landscapes, but most motorcyclists never get a chance to see the “real desert” because the terrain is too foreboding, plus there isn’t much paved access!
So let RawHyde and our experienced desert guides take you safely through the heart of this amazing place on a genuine adventure you’ll never forget.
The Base Camp Alpha trip always runs directly after any of our scheduled training sessions and begins at the RawHyde headquarters in southern California. You can either make it an extension of your off-road training at Adventure Camp or you can sign up solely for the tour. However, if you have not taken any of our off-road training camps we strongly urge you to do before taking this tour. All the skills you learn in our training will be put into action on the journey to Base Camp Alpha.

Early arrival and extra services
We’ve often heard from our clients that they wished we offered mechanical services or more opportunities to learn about other aspects of adventure riding. We listened, and we’re pleased to announce that in 2018 we created a series of extra “opportunities” for you to become more familiar with some of the other important aspects of our sport or have a tire changed, bar risers or a skid plate installed or perhaps a minor repair of some sort.
